"Why be openly trans if you pass well enough that people can't tell?"

Because there's nothing wrong with being trans. Being seen is a way of fighting against the bigots who don't want us to be seen or heard.

Because others like me see that they aren't alone.

Because I lost so much time due to a false image of what trans was. Scared and confused by media portrayals, stuck thinking that I'd just be 'an ugly man in a dress'

I needed to see and hear real trans people to see myself.

@thekimmy @nerdybutcute I mean, I’m laughing in public. Nicely played. 👏

@JenWojcik Personally, I _love_ when I can do this. 😊

@crutlefish Looks right on point. But yours has a speaker!!

@crutlefish It is exactly that. It’s a Whistle. If Chibi is ever lost, or abducted, she demands rescue ops immediately: a parachuted strike force, a snack-sized bag of pretzels, etc.

@h5e If we encourage her, she’ll just get more ambitious: fancier coffee, more squeakies, a larger secretsry pool. Bossier dog. 🫣

Chibi is boss. Bring her her coffee. Bring her her squeaky ball. Type up her homework. Bossy. Bossy. Boss dog.

@JenWojcik I’m torn on whether this is better or worse than those who put books backwards on their shelves, so the spines face inward, for purposes of cleanliness and order.

Obviously, those who do both need medical intervention and most likely someone to read them stories before bed.

New study finds "no substantial evidence of any biological advantages for trans women competing in elite women's sport."

"'What threatens women's elite sport, for cis and trans women, is not trans women, but is rather misogyny in the form of underfunding, non-parity in participation and leadership, inequitable sport space allocation/access, and a range of sporting opportunities not afforded to women...in equitable ways.'"

#TransSelfie Eye Contact Jacket

@pauline Hey, Campus Magazine’s December 2008 issue included me as a “Fashion Do,” and I wasn’t even out yet. 😜

@stevestreza It increasingly feels weird to me how much value tech companies assign to the creation of a user account. So many accounts created, mostly just to reduce the friction of upselling users to premium subscriptions later.

I think if I were to launch a new iOS product today, I’d focus on making the signed-out experience as good as possible, and the premium experience worth the minimal drag of Apple’s subscription tooling.

#TransSelfie Eye Contact Jacket

@pauline agrees that this jacket emphasizes the width of my shoulders, but suggests it doesn’t matter because it’s an objectively good jacket.

She’s historically been pretty bad at textiles, but lately there have been signs of nascent aesthetic growth along the relevant vectors. In this case, I even agree with her.

The pin is from miraongchua.shop/collections/m. I realy need a red hair clip to complete the outfit, but I can’t find one anywhere. 😝

Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
