Seriously, fuck the bullshit around name changes. Why does every single account I have want a copy of the court order? Subaru & the company the does my dog's chip come to mind. Why in the cinnamon toast fuck do you need this?

I'm working through my 3rd airline right now and it's the same every fucking time. "Hello $deadname, how I can I be of assistance." Well you could read the first thing I sent to you that said my name is now legally changed to Audrey and I'd like that updated in your system. Oh, you need the court order and it's going to take you 6-9 weeks to "investigate"...I see.

@AngryTransLady The real fun ones are when, for some reason, a scan of court order doesn't cut it and they want to see a certified copy of the document, which, at least where I am, costs $40 a pop plus an hour's drive out to the county seat, unless you want to wait 6-8 weeks for them to get through their mail order backlog.

@pauline that’s how my credit cards were. I had to mail them a certified copy and they didn’t even send it back. Thankfully it was only $5 each at the clerks office. I bought 7 of them and I have 2 I think. I keep one in my purse at all times in case I randomly need it.

Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
