Are there any recordings of the Brahms violin sonatas that come close to Szeryng/Rubinstein?

@pauline Oh they are definitely my taste! Though I think I still prefer Szeryng as a violinist (but Richter as pianist).

@lexipenia I don’t think I’ve heard Szeryng before and would like to check out more!

@pauline It's hard to obtain. I don't think it was reissued separately – a crime! I have it from a Rubinstein boxset. You can listen on YouTube and I can send you a FLAC of it if you like it.

@pauline Szeryng is very underrated IMO. He's old school Romantic but very restrained. Other really good recs are the Bach solo (early Columbia in mono is better) + the Mozart sonatas with Ingrid Haebler (who is also underrated… her Mozart concerti are my favourite set!)

Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
