One of my absolute favorites from a recent trip to Oahu. It was a tourist hellscape—hotels clustered around the ocean like eyes of Sauron around a bath—but I still had an amazing time.

People are everything to me.

The juxtaposition between Alien (my favorite film) and Jodorowsky’s Dune made it impossible to resist.

I remember a different version of this sketch from the supplements in the Alien laserdisc boxed set from the 90’s. I don’t usually give in to nostalgia, but it does carry some weight!

@stevestreza I will say that the person I know who’s had the most success getting SwiftUI to do what she wants isn’t an engineer at all, but rather Pocket’s Head of Design. SwiftUI is as much she knows, and she loves it.

Okay, so the two sheets that were stuck together were unrecoverable, as feared. Of the other four: two were blank, and two were photos of an antique store that came up in conversation just yesterday. (😳)

Maybe it’s because of the lack of ABI stability; or because early versions had poor support for multiple protocol conformance; or the (still) immature state of the debug tools; or the fact that, for a very long time, while it let you do old things in a new way, it didn’t actually let you do anything new; or maybe because after a decade+ of C supersets, #Swift feels like safety scissors.
