@h5e alive! On week five of vaginoplasty recovery, and slowly starting to feel home in my own head again.

How are you??

@nicole oh congratulations! Exactly 11 weeks ago (give or take 30 minutes) they were wheeling me into the operating theatre for same! Took me a few weeks to get rid of the fogginess as well, that was very surprising. And as of last week it so I am finally feeling I’m not too limited in my mobility to actually get out and do stuff although I still tire easily and sitting down and getting up are still uncomfortable. I seem to be on the wrong end of the bell curve 😅 (they said six weeks). And I still have a catheter due to bladder issues which suuuuucks.

How are you doing? I hope your recovery is a bit quicker! :blobhaj_heart_trans:

@h5e CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS!!! 💐

The dreaded catheter! I’m so sorry you’ve had complications, but, thankfully, they don’t sound dire.

Overlooking the physical stuff, how do you feel to be on the other side!? 🥰

My recovery has been a blessed thing so far. (🤞🤞🤞). The fatigue is real, and it’s only just now starting to ease up. But no complications so far, very little actual pain, and everything seems to be healing ahead of schedule.

I guess I’m on the other side of that curve from you this time. 😬

@nicole ooooh mentally it’s already amazing and I’m sure that will improve once I’m rid of that stupid tube!

Glad to hear you’re doing much better 😄. I never had any pain though, thankfully and surprisingly. Well except when dilating, I do have to take painkillers beforehand 😑 but then it’s manageable although not very fun, mostly. At some point I was like, why is this hurting more now and then I realised I stopped taking painkillers.

@nicole in case you’re interested, I document my experiences in this thread: tech.lgbt/@h5e/115523975470482

Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
