For today I had a meeting planned with my team, to come out to them before I tell the whole company. The subject was simply “I need to talk with you”.
They were, of course, absolutely lovely about it.
One of them even had a small gift of two bottles of nail polish (she went to several shops to find the perfect colours even), nicely wrapped with a lovely handmade card with “you go girl, be yourself like no other” I nearly broke out in tears. 😭
Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
