If my friends didn’t occasionally force me out, I’d have nothing but photos of my dog. But I’d be happy with that too. 🥰

Binary trans folks will be like, "I'm in a couple with 10 people."

Non-binary trans folks will be like, "I'm in a couple with 2 people."

@theconfusedyeti@tech.lgbt Okay. This took some research.

The first video game I remember is Defender on my father’s Atari 2600. I doubt I ever played it, though I might have chewed on the joystick.

If you count text adventures, the first game I remember playing is Infocom’s Wishbringer (1985). I would have been 7-8.

If our definition of video games requires graphics, then it would have been the SMB/Duckhunt cartridge in my elementary school friend’s bedroom a year or two later. That’s definitely the one that ruined me for all time. 😹

@danirabbit fuck realistic expectations. We are trans women. We didn’t tell society to go fuck itself and take back out gender just to have reasonable expectations. We’ve fought too hard. Maybe try and fall short. Maybe succeed in ways you didn’t expect. But don’t you dare tell me you’re not aiming for the fucking moon.

@danirabbit “AGP is not real” should be the T-Shirt we all wear to the next Trans March; it should be printed on beer cozies and handed out as business cards on game night; it should be on billboards and in written in the sky every afternoon.

I’ve never wanted to outright murder an imaginary animal so much as I do this one.

@danirabbit @rooster Like, generally, I’m fairly forgiving on this front, being that you can’t see gender and all, … except of course when you bleeping CAN. 👁️

Jean Bartik needs to be in everyone's lexicon of OG programmers. She literally designed and implemented the first machine code and stored program mode for ENIAC, after previously having to physically rewire it per task. Like hey this is just too close to the metal! Let's maybe get a little distance from the metal? Still very metal.

Trans girls will say shit like "no thoughts head empty I'm a total bimbo" then proceed to infodump about type theory.

PSA to all the eggs and baby trans girls: AGP is not real and it’s okay to be allosexual and trans. It’s normal to want to feel sexy. It’s not weird or fetishy to want to feel comfortable having sex. Developing secondary sex characteristics (aka boobs) is a part of transition and it’s okay to be excited about that. Sexuality is a normal part of humanity and womanhood and it’s okay for you to want to experience it 💕

@fritzt @tillybridges Thank you, both. 😂

Though, now a weekend of epic poetry consumption and a lifetime of too much anime has me imagining Grendel and his mother keeping themselves busy in their underwater hall with giant games of jan ken pon (🪨📄✂️).

Lurid 1970’s Samurai Cinema

Sigh. I didn’t know where to turn next.

The Samurai series?

Zatoichi?

The Criterion Channel is an embarrassment or riches.

So, naturally, I had to pivot: on Netflix. Twenty-eight hours of will-they-won’t-they dramatics, complete with proto-ninjas and questionable child actors. Also, roast duck.

@ValerieMars @Natasha_Jay I think after a certain point it becomes so hard because you realize there is no “old self” to go back to. There never was. Eventually you realize they were always a ghost, formless. You can’t go back to pretending to be something empty when you’ve got mass and shape and reality to yourself.

I was never a man, he didn’t exist. If I ever tried to become a man I’d be transitioning, not detransitioning. There is no where to go back to.

Basic models of flocking behavior are controlled by three simple rules: 1) separation: avoid crowding neighbours (short range repulsion); 2) alignment: steer towards average heading of neighbors; 3) cohesion: steer towards average position of neighbors (long range attraction). With these three simple rules, the flock moves in an extremely realistic way.
